"An hour later, we waltzed into the reception. And we were floored-the place was gorgeous in every way, but most awesome of all was the fabulous array of food-the buffet table was stunningly arranged, the dessert table was a cascading stack of delightful, colorful treats, and the bar-with its shimmering wine and martini glasses-glowed invitingly in the soft ambient light. All night Steve Mace and his staff tended to our guests' every culinary need, and friends and family still talk about how good the food and drink was. The Good Life Gourmet indeed makes every event Great!"

Not only for the food, which was exceptional, but for his extremely high degree of professionalism. This guy knows how to cater an event. He offered numerous suggestions that proved to be spot on and handled any problems quickly and efficiently. It was hard for me to do everything online without really knowing if everything would work out well. It worked out more than well. It was excellent! "We cannot say thank you enough for helping us put together our daughter's destination weddding at Nags Head. The telephone calls to discuss the menu and logistics provided much-needed reassurance that we had the details covered! You were more than responsive to our questions and concerns. And we can't say enough about the wonderful job you did at the wedding reception. When you consider that no one had seen the accomodations and the fact that the weather was a little uncooperative, you quickly came up with a game plan for pulling off the event. Our cookout theme was handled perfectly. The food was wonderful and its presentation great! The guests continue to rave about the job you did! There was no cleanup at all - you left the kitchen immaculate and the fridge full of wonderful leftovers! The bride and groom took a "goodie" bag with them too!

We got a chance to stop at your shop on our way out of town! The curried chicken salad was enjoyed picnic style in Virginia! Yum!

Since this was a destination wedding for us, I asked the folks at 108 Budleigh for suggestions of vendors. One of their suggestions was Steve and Susie Mace at The Good Life Gourmet. So, I met with Steve, and was totally impressed. (In fact, we also hosted the Bridesmaids' Brunch at the Good Life Gourmet.)"

"Steve is so good at details. Not only was he a counselor and wedding planner, he was also a calming force in the hectic noise of the weekend. Steve always had my best interest at heart, and sincerely instructed me how to handle the emotions of the bride regarding the logistics of the reception. Our reception was just FUN! The food that The Good Life Gourmet prepared was outstanding and the presentation was spectacular! (Steve had earlier advised me to provide a dozen lasagna trays from the dollar store for him to package the leftover food.)"
